S63/64 Maintain MEP File – COMMENTS

 

Purposes:

 

This screen allows MIMS users to view all comments logged or view by a default filter (180 days) and to add new comments to the file.

 

Prerequisites:

 

1.       MIMS user must have applicable security authorization to view files.

            The following groups have access to this screen:

·         All MEP users

·         Legal Services Agents

 

Helpful Hints:

 

·         Comments field has a maximum length of 2000 characters.

·         New comments may be logged on a file regardless of file status.

·         IMPORTANT NOTE:  Comments cannot be edited or deleted once they have been saved.

 

Navigation:

Procedure:

 

Add a Comment

1.       Enter a new comment for the file.

2.       Click  ‘Save’.  Comments cannot be edited or deleted once they have been saved.

3.       The new comment added will be displayed in the Current comments area.

Show All Comments

4.       Click the check box next to Show All Comments

5.       Click the ‘Apply’ button.

6.       All comments logged for the file will be displayed.

 

 

Screen Label

Description/Instructions

MEP File Number

The file number selected on the previous panel appears.  If this is not the file you require, enter a specific MEP File Number and click the ‘Get’ button.

To view another file, enter a MEP File Number and click the GET button.  Then select the tab for the applicable information to be viewed or updated.

File Status

Displays File Status of either Active, Closed or Incomplete.

Primary Creditor

This is the creditor, who is named as the original creditor with MEP at the time of registration.  Displays formatted name with the party number in brackets

Debtor

The debtor is the party directed to make payments to a creditor by a court order or agreement.  Displays formatted name with the party number in brackets.

Alerts

“More Alerts” hyperlink can be selected to view currently active alerts.

Compliance Level

The Collection Progression defines the compliance level on every file from 0-7.  MIMS automatically assigns these, but it is possible to manually manipulate levels on Screen S84 Change Compliance.

Provisional File

These are uniquely numbered files created to track and manage transmission of Provisional Orders, which are granted in one Jurisdiction that must be confirmed in another Jurisdiction.

New File Comment

New File Comment

Maximum length of 2000 characters.

 

Click to save the new comment.

Comments cannot be edited or deleted once they have been saved

Current File Comments

 

Show All Comments:

Select to show all comments. Not just the last 180 day default.

Click the apply button and the system will display all comments entered for the file in descending order of the date created.

Comment Text

Comments are displayed depending on the filter chosen, 180 days or All.

Created By

Displays the MIMS user that created the comment.

Create Date

Displays the date the comment was created.  This date is defaulted by the system date when the comment was created.
